Change menu button color

Hello, i've purchased the documentation for this module but am missing something.

I hope you can help. I just bought joomla template theme712 from template monster
here are the details for the template www.templatemonster.com/joomla-templates/33933.html
and it uses maximenuck. You can go to my test website www.curbs4you.com/joomla16/ to see what i am talking about.

I am trying to change the menu boxes from green to turqouis,
i went to templates theme default css maximenuH_ck.php file and changed the green to the turqoiuse that i wanted. But something is overwriting the color to a rounded image or css or something.
i cannot seem to find where the green menu button that is overwritting my turqouis color is comming from.

I have searched all files and cannot find the image nor the #XXXXXX color that makes it green.

Any help is much appreciated.

the gradient is loaded by an image url("../images/hover_tail.gif")
