Themes not working

I am a beginner at this. I wanted a horizontal menu on a Beez2 template and this looked just right.. I even bought the a set of themes. However, the horizontal menu is destroyed and becomes vertical with just a bar of colour if I use any theme other than "default".... Help.

I have tested the themes on beez_20 and they should work
have you taken the v6 version of the theme ?
