increase height and transparent background?

Hey. I am new to joomla, maximenu_ck, and css. Been piecing together what I can but have run into a snag. my current site is wgic.cloudaccess.net . I dont know how to change the height or get the background to become transparent. Ideally I want it to look like www.worldgrowint.com but I do not know how to do it and the person whom created that is out of the country and I cannot contact them for quite some time. Any help would be much appreciated.
