Spacing menu items

Hello, I've been trying out the menu and I was just wondering how to manipulate the menu items to reduce the space between them. I have a few items and they move down to the next line. If I can reduce the space I think it'll be ok.

you must play with css in the file maximenuhck.php in the theme folder to change the margin/padding on "li" or "a" tags

Thanks. What If I purchase other themes? Will it be the same?

I don't understand, all themes are only made with css....if it does not fit your needs exactly then you must change them
