how to insert new row

Hello guys ...

i am trying to find a way in order to "manually" add a new row ...

I have a web site where i have 4 different main menu items, and below of them i want to have a variety of options.

For the first item i want to have 2 rows with 4 columns each

For the second item i want to have 3 rows with 3 columns each ...

and so on...

Is there any parameter or css "code" in order to SET WHERE TO INSERT a NEW ROW?

Below my desired menu schema:

ITEM1
row1column1 row1column2 row1column3 row1column4
row2column1 row2column2 row2column3 row2column4

ITEM2
row1column1 row1column2 row1column3
row2column1 row2column2 row2column3

first, the new row is only available for maximenu v6 for joomla 2.5
then just add [newrow] on the title for the first element in the new row :

row1column1 row1column2 row1column3 row1column4
row2column1[newrow] row2column2 row2column3 row2column4

or use in the same way the option in the plugin maximenu params

I am using maximenu 5 for joomla 1.5

Unfortunately i am not planning to upgrade my website in the near future so i have to find a way to do it with maximenu 5.

So how meximenu5 decides where to put a new row?

I have noticed that adding three column with set width (using plugin) and the a fourth one without set width, then the fourth one goes to a new row?

Could i achieve such thing using css styling and menu items id?

Any generall guideliness where to look?

to do that you should hack the php files where all the structure of maximenu is defined (helper and default). You can compare the v4 (for joomla1.5) and the v6 (joomla 2.5)

I haven't done it because it is some important work and I don't have time. Anyway if you don't manage to do it yourself and need it absolutely, you can contact me for a quotation and I would do it for you.

unfortunately i definately need such an option in order to have the absolute control of this menu system.

And i am not a skilled php programmer ...
