Menu does not appear on IE8

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the problem I'm having with the menu on IE8: It just won't show up at all. It works fine on IE6-7 & 9, Chrome, FF, Opera etc. but not with IE8

I tried increasing the z-index and activating the rollover detection in the settings, but nothing seemed to work.

Currently, I'm using version 5.24 of the menu with joomla 2.5.4. I haven't tried updating the menu to the latest version yet, since I'm not exactly sure how much work it would be. Maybe there is a simpler solution for this?

very strange !
I think this is a template issue, try with another one first.
Then if it is the template look into the specific stylesheets that are loaded for IE, it should be a css issue

Thanks! Found the error quickly after I stopped focusing on the menu itself

(IE8 did not agree well with a margin-top attribute of the div holding the menu)
