Mobile Menu not working as second instance

Hi CEd!
On a new site I'm working with two Maximenus at the same time - what shouldn't be a problem.
Instance one is placed in position "navi" and showing a "normal" Maximenu rendering the Main menu.
Instance two is placed right beside in position "burgermenu" and configured to show the mobile menu already from a rersolution of 2500px.
Number one is working.
Number two doesn't reacht at all / not opening the mobile manu with any effect. It makes no difference if I use the default theme or a custom theme.
Do you have a tipp for me how to fix this?
