How to set all submenu positions on top?

Hi,
first of all: I really like the Maximenu - and hope for help for a special site:

It is a very large site with more than 700 different content pages, a kind of manual for patients with multiple sclerosis. It was a Wikipedia before, now migrated to Joomla. The pages are structured in 14 main titles, each of them may contain up to 15 subtitles, each of them may contain up to 12 subtitles, each of them ... I have to show at least 4 levels.
The main titles are long; therefore I cannot use a horizontal style, I have to use a vertical style.
But because there are so many main titles (level 1) and each submenu starts on the position of its maintitle, the patients have to scroll and scroll...

My question: How can I set the submenus to the same horizontal position as the first item in the main menu? Means: How to have all submenus at the top? That would solve the problem
The Params plugin is installed.



I really would be thankful for any tipp, workaround, help!
