Google Fonts - EU-GDPR

does Maximenu CK Params load the fonts directy from the google font website fonts.google.com/ ?

There are some informations that connecting to the google font website is a violation of the new EU-GDPR, because Google is collecting informations.

Because of GDPR it is not allowed to collect private data from your website visitors. But GoogleFonts collect the ip-adress of the visitor and sent it to there own google server.

All my fonts used on my website, are loaded directly from my own webspace. But I think that the fonts used in MaxiMenu are loaded from the google font website.

Can I change the settings somewhere, so that the fonts for Maxi Menu are also loaded from my own webspace?

you can choose to not use the google fonts from maximenu, if you don't select any google font, it will load nothing

But if I want to specify the font style, how can I tell maxi menu that I want a special font which is located on my own webspace?

Here is your reminder.


There is a already an extension to remove all links to google fonts:
JMG Disable Google Font

Just to remove all googel fonts makes no sense because everybody likes a different font in his menu.

Maybe you can add something to choose between google fonts and on the own webspace installed fonts.
