New user of Maximenu with some questions
Hello, I am new to Maximenu and I have the follwoing questions:
1. There is a dark vertical border at the end of the main menue and I don't know how ti remove it.
See attached screenshot "CK-Maxi Menu_vertical line.JPG.
2. If I choose a menu item, it is not marked (for example highlighted) as you see on the screenshot I chooses "Aktuelle Saison" but "Home" is still bold and yellow. See attached screenshot "CK-Maxi Menu_active selected menue.JPG.
3. I would like to have the effect, that the backround is moving darker smoothly from one menue item to another. On my test homepage it only works if I move the mouse pointer form the menue item "Registrieren" backwards to the menue item "Galerien":
test.mcv-moemlingen.net/index.php/aktuelle-kampgne
I am using Maximenu CK Styles Params.
Thank you for your help.
Kurt

Hi
1/ go in the module >> styles options >> theme : choose "blank" instead of "default" to remove the black bar at the end
2/ this is probably a cache problem, go in the advanced options >> cache >> disable
if this does not work, then check the option "base item" and set it to none
3/ it seems that you have given a background color (gradient) to each menu item separately. Why this ?
I suggest you to remove these settings and keep a general style on the module. Only use the individual menu item styling if you want for example to give a specific item some different style
Once you have removed these styles on the menu items and switched to the blank theme, it shall be better

Hi Cédric,
Thanks for your fast answer.
If I change the style options to "blank", I don't have this fancy effect with the dark background sliding from one menu item to the other.
Is there an option to remove the borders between the menu items in the menu with the style options "default"?
(like it is on my screenshot from my first post. I changed something, but I don't know what and now I have borders between all menu Items)
See it here: test.mcv-moemlingen.net
I have another question:
Is it possible to include the login form in the main menu, like here on the screenshot:
(i found it here: demo.joomlaplates.com/jp_perfect/# )
If it is possible, can you give me a description (one by one step)?
Thanks again and greetings from Germany!
Kurt

in the module style > level 1 item >> set the background on none or transparent. This will remove the borders that are background images
of course you can include a module like this
check the documentation that comes with teh maximenu params, you will find how to load a module into a submenu

Hi Cédric,
I am an absolutly newcomer,so please excuse my stupid questions.
1.
You wrote
Is the option somewhere else?
2.
I followed your documentation and tried to include the "login module".
It should apear while mouse over the menue item "Registrieren":
But I am to stupid to make it work
These are the steps I made:
a. I chose the module with the maxi menu
b. I started maxi menu ck manager:
c. I opened the edit window of the menu item which should later open the "login module"
d. I chose "module Loading: Load a module: "Yes" and at "Select a module" I chose the "login modul"
e. I saved and closed it.
The result was:
That's why I asked you to give me a step by step instruction.
What went wrong?
If you want, I can give you an access to the site I work on.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards
Kurt

1. check in the "menu link" tab, where are the settings for the items
2. this is correct but you missed to create a submenu
menu structure :
- registrieren >> parent item
- - module login >> submenu where to load the module
hope it helps
