stand alone module and 2 columns

i try to set 2 columns without plugin installed

but it not work

my menu (part of it looks like this

|_ left 2
|_ right 3
|_ right 4

and i want to separate left to 1 column and right to 2

test[cols2]
|_ left 1
|_ left 2
|_[col]
|_ right 3
|_ right 4

if you are using maximenu 6, you must use this :
test
|_ left 1[col=180]
|_ left 2
|_ right 3[col=180]
|_ right 4

180 is the column width in px
If you are using maximenu 4 (or 5)
test[cols2]
|_ left 1
|_ left 2
|_[col]
|_ right 3
|_ right 4

Probably i can do it using module and insert it to menu but maybe there is other way

yes you can do it, but only with the plugin maximenu params. There is an option to force the column to return to the line then you can make a new row. And you must also give a specific width to the parent item for the sumbmenus. All is explained in the plugin documentation.
