Menu placeholder text different than regular items

When I use a menu heading the text on the menu is changing. I'd like it to remain standard with the rest of the menu items.

See this page for the example:

Baseball, Football, Cross Country, Softball, Swimming, Track & Field, Volleyball and Wrestling look the way I want the rest of the menus to look. They just have menu items included in the dropdown.

Basketball, Golf and Soccer have menu placeholders (for Boys and Girls). Below the placeholder I have menus (BOYS and GIRLS) and then menu items for each.



How can I change those menu titles to look like the others?

use "text separator" item type instead of "heading"
