Okay but there is another issue

The sub-menu cascade on clicks on menu - please check www.screencast.com/t/FNAJi9qGF

These issues if resolved will help your other users as well.

I have a test version (do not use on production)

in the effect options you got a new option "add close button to submenu". set it on YES and the behavior on "click"
then tell me how it works

for this you can use some CSS on the .maxiclose element, "text-indent" to hide the text, and ":after" pseudo class to add the "X"
