z-index problem IE7
Sorry for my late reply. it was the div of my menu. Thank you for your help.
Just one question, I am not sure if this the correct section, but I am trying a few days now to add a different color to the main menu when I hover on the item. I found a way to change the color when I hover the specific menu item, but when I am going to the submenu items it changes to the initial color. Thank you

Having the exact same issue with maxi menu in IE7 for my site as well:
elmbrookschools.org
I've tried a lot of different things with z-index and can't get the menu to appear above the content and the slideshow. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Also on this page. It seems any div with position: relative on it shows above the maxi menu in IE7. Check this out
www.elmbrookschools.org/elmbrook-advantages.html
The menu dropdown shows beneath the graphic in the middle because position relative is on the container. Why does the menu have a problem with position relative?

Hello, Please could you give instructions of how to solve this. We are using joomla 1.7 and a template created using Artisteer program.
We are using ie9 and having the same issue. Cheers,
BW.
