Fatal error jcck after update J3.6.2 to J3.6.5

I updated Maximenu CK to the newest version via the update menu in the back end. Site continued to work fine. I then went in to update Joomla from 3.6.2 up to 3.6.5 using the Joomla updater. After updating the site to Joomla 3.6.5 the back end works but the front end gives a 500 error on all pages. When I turn on error checking it says

Fatal error: Class 'JCck' not found

and then gives the path looking for router.php

I then went in and uploaded a fresh copy of the MMCK module as well as a new updated copy of Params (4.1.1). The same error continued even after reinstalling those two items. Any idea what might be happening?

I did just notice that I only have Menu Manager 1.0.5 instead of the current 1.1.1. Do I need to upgrade that one too in order for things to work without that missing router.php problem?

this is not one of my extension ... I don't know what is this extension "CCK"
