Does Maximenu support active submenu in same modul

I was wondering if Maximenu supports what I will try to explain here within the same module instance, if so I can't get it to work.

Menuitem 1
Menuitem 2
Menuitem 3

Say only Menuitem 2 has submenu items.
If Menuitem 2 or one if it's submenus are active, can I get it so it shows the submenu items under Menuitem 2 without any hover or click, just static like the menu normally acts?

Menuitem 3

Now I can't get the subitems to show unless I hover on Menuitem 2, even with "Sub items dependant of active parent" turned on or off.
