parent item on iPad was created by linpi
Hello,
on an iPad, as soon as an item is a parent (first or second level), this item is not selectable any more as a page, I mean it shows the children items, but it is not possible to get to the page of this menu item.
Is that an error in my settings or it this normal ?
On a regular PC/Mac, a parent item is selectable like any other items.
On a Smartphone with the mobile menu, it works as well as expected. Just with the iPad I have this problem.

Hi
this is normal as there is no "mouseover" action on touch device
if you want to have a more mobile advanced menu, you shall consider using the maximenu mobile plugin

Hi Cédric,
thank your fast reply. Actually, I always use the mobile plugin. Until now I used the default detection type "resolution". of course, if I use detection type "tablet an phone" this problem is gone!
cheers, Pierre

With the default Joomla menu it does work. I use :focus in addition to :hover. I guess this is possible in Maximenu to?
Could you tell us how to do this? I prefer the 'normal' menu op tablets since the visitors can see the menu-items right away.
