Using ITPC from images

I enter Headline and Description in my images and pictures. I can therefore automatically add the "subject" of the image when doing a slide show without been forced to add manually what I already did.
Lightroom does it natively and a plugin BorderFX exists for Aperture to duplicate images with the headline or description or both on it. Picasa as well provides some features to display IPTC infos on slideshow.

I could of course, for Joomla, modify my photos using aperture an the specific plugin to add the title within the image itself.
However, as you have anticipated the possibility to add a title and a description within your slideshow CK, would it be possible to develop a plugin that would read theses fields and display them as a the title and/or description of your slideshows ?
It would be nice to have some mapping options since some software are using other field.
