Any way to create my own theme

I used photoshop to create my custom theme, same size and everything, but when I make a login beautiful ck module, my custom tab that i saved in the FTP doesnt show under styles or themes. How can I do this? (Make my own custom theme) Should I name my custom theme(photoshop created) and overwrite one of the preset themes?

if you craete a new folder in the theme directory, then you should be able to select it in the admin

I did this and it still doesn't select the custom theme I made. Should i have to make an images folder and use the mod_css? I converted the image to a .png so it should act like the others shouldnt it?
