1. Have set the Images source as 'Autoload froma folder' (Pic_1)
2. Have imported all the images
3. Have assigned to each image the title fist and then the description (as I have seen no result from the title) and the relative link.
In case you are available I can grant you access to the backend as superuser.

if you have the "autoload" source, it will not use the slides manager
change this source option to "slides manager" and see

Thanks for the hint.
Now it seems to work, although the setup of the caption took so much time and trials and some modifications to the camera.css, the main one being:
.camera_caption {
/** height: 100%; **/.
}
Since the background was taking the whole slideshow (and was unresponsive of the position Y input in the configuration) it did therefore prevent the usage of the links, most probably hidden under the background.
Now it is OK and I will complete all the links and images.
