Slideshow appears where it shouldn't

I have a weird problem. Slideshow works great, but it should only appear on the front home page. I specifically selected that in the "Menu Assignment". However if i click on an article within any category the slideshow appears. doesn't make sense. It won't show any other menu items, but it will in articles of any category.

Any guidance or ideas would be really helpful.

the assignment is not managed by the module itself, but by the modules manager from joomla!
do you have a specific modules manager installed ? Do you have tested with another module ?

thank you so much for the response. Do you mean to uninstall and re-install? I'm using the module manager and it does show there, but i understand that i have to go into the CK module and tell it where i want it to appear. I can try that, uninstall and re-install.

not sure that reinstalling will sove it, but you can try
What I meant, is to try to assign the same pages to another module ( a menu for example ) to see if you have the same problem
