I'm very happy with Slideshow CK running on my Joomla!2.5.28.
I'm now planning an upgrade to Joomla!3.4.3 but I don't how to upgrade the Slideshow CK without loosing the slideshows running on the J!2.5 version (I'm running Slideshow CK 1.4.11).
I understand that in J!3 I need to use SlideshowCK 1.4.20 because 1.4.11 is only compatible with J!2.5 (meanwhile 1.4.20 is only compatible with J!3)
What are the reccomanded steps to implement the correct upgrade in order to not loose the existing slideshows content?

Example:
1. Upgrade from J!2.5 to J!3
2. Install SlideshowCK 1.4.20
3. Uninstall SlideshowCK 1.4.11

Will SlideshowCk 1.4.20 recover all the slideshows that are currently configured and run by Slideshow 1.4.11?

Should I follow other steps?

I hope the problem is clear.
Thank you in advance for your kind support and congratulations for this great extension!

Hi

1. Upgrade from J!2.5 to J!3
2. Install SlideshowCK 1.4.20

this is correct, but you must not uninstall ! if you uninstall, you will loose all the settings. Installing the new version over the existing one will simply update it :)

Take care to have a full backup of your website before doing anything ...

Will SlideshowCk 1.4.20 recover all the slideshows that are currently configured and run by Slideshow 1.4.11?

yes

Great! I got it!
Right now I'm upgrading the template on J!2.5 to make it compatible to J!3.
Once finished I will be ready to move to J!3 and Slideshow CK 1.4.20.
Thank you for your advise and .... let's keep our fingers crossed! ;)
