Full page background and thumbnails

Hi there

I am trying to use CK Slideshow as a full-page background, but the captions and thumbnails disappear when I do this. Is there a way to make them appear?

the captions should show, but the thumbs have no use because you can't click them (the slideshow is under the rest of the site)

Neither is showing for me. Basically, I am hiding all other content, and just want the slideshow to be functional like on a normal page - except full screen. Is this not possible?
