SlideShow loading slow

im using joomla 2.5.20 and ck slideshow 1.4.2

my ck slideshow appears to be loading slow

can anyone help with what may be causing the slide show to load slow

What was the problem and how did you fix it? Might be a help to someone else ...

I had the same problem, my version of Slideshow CK was 1.4.0 and my website was loading too slow.

Just update to (latest) version 1.4.11 (Joomla 2.5) or 1.4.13 (Joomla 3) and it will load normal again. For Joomla 2.5 download module mod_slideshowck_1.4.11_j25.zip or for Joomla 3.x download module mod_slideshowck_1.4.13_j3.zip .

You don't need to uninstall previous version of module (to not loose your slideshow properties), just follow this steps:

1. Upload file mod_slideshowck_1.4.11_j25.zip to your /modules folder
2. Unzip file mod_slideshowck_1.4.11_j25.zip
3. Delete (or rename) previous version of module "mod_slideshowck" to "mod_slideshowck_old"
4. Rename new version "mod_slideshowck_1.4.11_j25" to "mod_slideshowck"
