I have brought the side live at my hoster and the reported issue of files not being able to select from any other directory than within your module, has gone now!
So the issue only showed up on my Mac testing/building the side using MAMP.
It might have been something to do with local file systems authirisations. I still don't know. But for now, this ticket can be tagged as SOLVED (although it still doesn't work on my localhost; but I can live with that).
Still send you an email with account info in order to look at the other reported issues.

Hi
I have checked, the navigation buttons works now (I had to unpublish all suspiscious modules and system plugins), and the issue comes from
"System - EU e-Privacy Directive"
Once unpublished all is working, this extension renders many important errors into your page
Regards
CEd
