I've got this same problem too on a Joomla 2.5.19 site - www.fopc.org .

I have nothing much turned on in the settings of the slider, and the white space doesn't show on a mobile device, and it collapses if you do an inspect.

are you sure that you have set the pagination in the module options ? I don't see it in the code

I had pagination set to "No". Turning it on just made the problem look worse as pagination produces more white space. Definitely not that.

EDIT: Ummmm! Just realised this was not posted in the thread I thought - my apologies. My problwm is not pagination (which explains you answer - my fault sorry). My problem is the enormous blank area below the slider module. Did this early this morning before rushing out the door.... :blush:
