I have the same problem. After the recent update, the slideshow has gone. Turned off all the jquery loads in the module but still nothing.

like many discussions here, your template is in cause because it loads a 2nd jQuery instance

try to remove this

I figured as much. What changed worth the latest version of slideshow as this setup worked perfectly prior to upgrading

I don't know which version you had before, but the slideshow has not changed and respect the Joomla! API since the beginning

I have the same issue that the show don´t appers.

I think its the same issue with two jquery versions? I am not sure... maybe you can help me?

yes this is also a problem of jquery in your template

<script type="text/javascript" src="/templates/dd_sosassy_19/js/jquery.js"></script>

you should remove this
