I had assumed that the bottom: -50px parameter positioned the caption and the height:50ps parameter set its height. However experimenting by changing these makes no difference.
I have also increased the size of the slideshow - it was originally reduced to enable the text to wrap around it.
If it is possible to alter the height of the caption that would be good.
