I have created a slide which is to show a YouTube video when clicked on. However, doing so is generating an error.

You can see the slide at:

Hi
the slideshow will load the video, but if you want it to autoplay then you must tell this to Youtube by adding the parameter in the url : &autoplay=1

I don't think that is it. I added that to the end of the url and now nothing happens.

The page I sent you has the slideshow module embedded in it.

This is a test site and I can send you the login credentials if wish to take a look.

here is your url for the video :
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/watch?v=OuZYbtTkwD8&autoplay=1&wmode=transparent
as you can see it does not autoplay, and this is the player of Youtube, nothing to do with the slideshow
you can try to check that
youtubedownload.minitool.com/youtube/you...lay-not-working.html

BUT, you must also know that nowadays the browsers have some security rules that automatically blocks the video autoplay feature. You can enable this from the address bar in Firefox for example ...

That's good to know about the browser permissions. There really isn't any sense to putting a video in a slideshow if that is the case because the majority of users are never going to figure that setting out.

I checked and autoplay is set to "allow" in the browser I am testing with, so I don't think it is that.

I tried pasting the url with the autoplay code added on right in the browser address bar and the video did start automatically, but maybe having it in actual page is different.

Even with autoplay off and no autoplay code in the url, shouldn't the video play if the image in the slideshow is clicked? I get a YT play button, but when I click there is an error.
