Load from Folder and Subfolders? Default Caption?

I have a question related to the "load from folder" mode:

My client would like to load all images from Phocagallery. There the images are stored within folders related to their respective category.

E. g.: images/phocagallery/category1

Now I'd like to know if it's possible to load images from folder incl. subfolders.

WHEN loading from a folder captions are not displayed
As the galleries are very dynamic, it wouldn't make sense to adjust the labels.txt each time a user uploads an image.
So - is there a chance to create a kind of "default caption"?

currently there is no option to setup a default caption, the labels.txt file must be updated.
for the subfolders, for now this is also not possible.

but, in fact you would like to show the picture from Phocagallery into the Slideshow CK ? if you fill in the caption in the phoca component we could imagine having a plugin that will search this infos and the images, and load them
Of course this is a specific development, and it will need some time to be done
