One image slideshow and blank image

I set up a simple slideshow with one image, the Ken Burn effect and a caption (title + description).

Display time: 10000
Transition duration: 0
Caption effect: Fade from left
Adjust the images: Yes
Autoplay: Yes
Pause on mouseover: No

But the slideshow has a strange behaviour:

• 10 seconds of image (correct)
• 10 seconds of blank image (wrong)
• 10 seconds of image (correct)
• 10 seconds of blank image (wrong)
• and so on

I can't figure out the reason. Can you help me?

this is not a slideshow then ... a slideshow is designed to have more than one image.
