Using the Slideshow Params Plugin, can I set an external folder as source of images?
For example, my site is www.mysite.com and I want Slideshwo CK to point to www.mysecondsite.com/images/gallery . Can I?
Note: I've not bought Slideshow CK Params yet, so I ask...

Hi
really, I have never tried. I don't think that this is possible, else any own could point to a directory of any website and get the files and may be write them.
May be if your both websites are on the same server you can point the root path of the server as base, but as said I have never tried

Hi, CEd.
I tested the SlideshowCK module (without the Params plugin) inserting an absolute path in the URL box of Slides manager tab, pointing to an external image (from mls.testsrp.it it points to www.fimaviaggieturismo.it ). It works fine; just a little delay in loading the page.
Can you grant me a temporary license to test the Params plugin?
It's a quite interesting matter. Actually, everyone can do it, if he knows the path: it's the way the internet works!else any own could point to a directory of any website and get the files

there is a difference between an url and path
url >> http protocol
path >> local to the server
you can point to a single image with its url pointing to an external domain, but you can not point to a folder path in which to read the files
Contact me by email to check this together
