Just realized that I tried the update on another instance of the site.

so if I understand now, you are in the same state as at the beginning with the warnings ?

I have my live site which is untouched as far as troubleshooting and the error reporting turned off.

I also have a couple others of the same site installed that I have been working on to try and fix the warnings. The one I am working on now is a clean backup with no experimenting except for your helper file change.

On this site, yes I took out your new helper file and put back the original to remove the fatal error and bring back just the warnings. Same state as a clean backup

I have been unable to find a version number, only a date. Where would the version number be displayed?

Ahhh I found the version in the xml file

Version 3.0

if you are in the xml file, you must look at

<version>???</version>

else you can find this number in your extension manager

ok I undertand now, you have teh 2.0.7 which has some changes in the php code regarding the latest version, which explains the fatal error

Please download and install the latest module over the existing one (to update). Then tell me.
