How to remove slide effect

How do you remove the slide effect?

When I click the parent menu I want it to go straight to the page without sliding to reveal the sub menu but then when on the parent page the child sub menu to be revealed.

I did edit the mod_accordeonck>assets>mod_accordeonck.js

and commented out the function togglemenu.

Any other way to do this?

no need to have an accordion for this, the native joomla menu does it
