Control accordion from external links on same page

hi,

could you please point me at the right direction?

i need to open certain accordion section clicking external link on the page. something along these lines:

window.addEvent('domready', function() {
$('click1').addEvent('click', click1Function);
$('click2').addEvent('click', click2Function);
$('click3').addEvent('click', click3Function);
});

var click1Function = function(){
}

could you please indicate how to initiate the open and close functionality this way?

you ca try to fireEvent on the menu element once you have clicked on your button. But this is a specific development
