Possible to set menu width using module suffix

I need to make the vertical menu more narrow. About 225 pixels. I have it set in a side-a module position for rockeththeme joomla template. Possible? I saw an older thread, but it stated to put the div code in the html.. I didnt think you could do that with a module.

so looking at the menu, this only happens if the link is a text separator. This is Rockettheme template. Do you have an idea how i can trouble shoot the problem?

you were talking about the module width and now about the separator item ... sincerely I have no idea of what is your issue
