How to make a parent item not to be a link?

Hi,

now my accordon menu ck works. I have only one problem. Probably it would be peanuts, but i have done like the documentation, read the forum and can´t find the solution... :whistle:

My parent items are always links to an article. How can i make them only to be the headline for the following child items; on click only open the child items, nothing more?

in the option you can select the "target element" if you want the link or the image only

I tried that several times: Mootools Effects -> Event Target Element -> Image only.

Now a "+" or "-" appears beside the parent item, but the item is still a link. I didn´t manage it to create an Only-Text-Item without to be a link to an article.

ok then just define your item type as "separator" in your menu structure. But if you set the option Event Target Element -> Link and image , it should work

I got it! :woohoo:

My problem was a language problem..... In my german joomla-version, when i create a new menu item, selecting "type", i must choose "Trennzeichen"(separator), not "Beitrag"(article)! And that was on the selection-window not visible, i had to scroll down to the end....
