Category-based menu?

I managed to get an accordion menu to work by using Accordeon Menu CK in Joomla.

However, I am trying to find an accordion-type menu that is based on the category structure rather than the menu structure of Joomla.

Does Accordeon Menu CK support this?

Just to make sure I am not off the track here: what I meant was that I need to create a multi-layered accordion-type menu, but that I only want to have articles at the lowest level (the "leaf nodes") of the category. The hierarchical structure itself does not need to have articles, except for the lowest level.

For the multi-layered accordion-type menu, I will have a multi-layered category structure, but I do not want to create a whole menu structure that replicates the multi-layered category structure.

Does that make sense?
