Always expanded within article

I really hope it's not gantry because it's partially working.

menu 1
-sub menu 1 - category blog
--article 1 (menu showing correctly)

but if its like
menu 2
-sub menu 2 - single article
--article 2 (link of an article within single article of submenu 2 (all submenu expanded)

Is there anyway to fool the system to think it's non active state all the time?

And I told you about the cache, have you tried to deactivate all cache/compression options ??

Cache wasn't on, I tried turning off the compression but it didn't work.

Ok so when I switch the menu choice to my Main Menu within accordeon, everything works correctly all the way to the article level.

I think it might have been the way I set this up. What I did is that I created another menu specifically for accordeon, I made some of my 1st level and 2nd level items from my main menu 1st level for accordeon, then I made a sub menu for all the anchors items within those pages.

Ah ha, I figured out what's causing the problem now. If the menu type is an external URL, then all of the submenus will be fully expanded at the article level.
