menu open section and menu at same time

Is it possible to have the main menu items open a section at the same as collapsing the menu open? I can do this if I change the menu to function on rollover. The menu will open on rollover and then when I click on the main item, it will change the section. But if I set the menu work on click, only the menu collapses on click and content does not change. I really would like it function on click and open the menu will changing the content at the same time
