Joomla 3 website breaks when activating Accordion CK module

Hi,
I want to migrate a website from Joomla 3 to 5.
The old site used the Skyline Content Categories Accordion module.
That no longer works on J5.
That's why I went looking for an alternative and found Accordion Menu CK.
Because I saw that it works with Joomla 3, 4 and 5 I installed it first on the J3 site.
Installing goes well. I wanted to use it to show a category overview, so I bought the Pro.
Showing the Main Menu via this module also works well.
But I want to use it to show Categories.
As soon as I choose that and activate the module the website no longer works and I get this message:

What could be the cause of this message?

This is because Joomla 3 is too old. I have tried to make it compatible all versions but it becomes complicated

This one shall work, so that you can use it on Joomla 3 and then update to the latest version when you are on joomla 4/5

This version works very well with Joomla 3.
I'm going to continue preparing the migration to Joomla 5.
