Use javascript effect with parent link

Hi,
I've been using your component for 2 years and I've always found it very well.
I need to insert a menu that includes the "use javascript effects" and that allows me to click and open the parent page. currently if I use "use javascript effect" this is not possible. if disabled this check option, the system let me to click on the parent for open the page but I lose all the effects.
is it possible to use "javascript effects" at the same time click on the parent for open the page?

in the module options you must set the event target to be on "image only", this will open/close on the +/- image and keep your link cliquable to redirect to your page
