Hi Mr CEd

Hope all is funky.
I am a little confused with fonts (actually, very confused).

I have the fonts.css file in:
public_html/paellaking/components/com_templateck/projects/lovepaella/css/fonts

It is an empty document. The font that I installed after following your (very helpful) youtube video is installed elsewhere.

So....

What goes in this file? If I enter some text, and copy to the live template, it reverts back to an empty document.

Thanks

Jon

Hi
this file should be filled with the font-face properties if you use a font from fontsquirrel. If it is empty then you don't use an extra font ::)
But what is interesting here is that this file should not be in your template if not needed ...I will see how to fix this
Now if you want to add an extra css code, use the file "custom.css"

Like Columbo says... one more thing...

Can you confirm this please:

I download a font from Fontsquirrel (following the youtube video) and upload to use the web font generator etc.

The font is now installed in com_templateck/fonts. This is good?

Following on from that...
If I want to use a font as a main text, I install with the above method and select in the template creator via css option.

If I want to use fonts as icons (thinking of icomoon here) , do I use the same method?

Or do I put the relevant code in custom.css?

Thanks

only if you choose it somewhere in template creator to apply on something. Then the font will be copied here

for icomoon, you can choose (if you are on joomla 3) to load bootstrap, so this will be loaded too.Else you can load it via your own css in the file "custom.css"

Ok,

I think I am on the right track here.

standard text fonts load via template creator and icon fonts etc load via custom.css

I think that does it.

Basically, If it can not be done via Template Creator, do it in custom.css

Thanks for reply.

Have a good day
