clicking on a template name gives a 404 error

When I click on a template name in the template list I get a 404 error page not found.

The url looks like this:
mysite.com/component/templateck/?view=template&layout=edit&template=templatecreatorck&id=5

Any idea why I'm seeing a blank page.
There were no install errors. joomla 2.5.11
This is the first item I'm adding to joomla.

Please check that you have the template "templatecreator" installed (don't pu it as default template!)
else try to deactivate the SEF in your configuration

I found the problem. I had a configuration error in my htaccess file. Looks like the template creator is working.
