Place blocks inside parent
Hi Chaps,
Very new to all of this.
The documentation says that I can place blocks inside other, parent blocks. How do I do this?
Thanks,
Colin

Hi
no you can't place blocks inside other blocks, you can add some blocks into the page and place them before or after other blocks.
If you tell me what you want to do I may help you

Thanks Ced - really new to this and struggling!
Anyway, this from the documentation: "We get a block with 4 blocks of modules. Each module block can be moved into the parent block, or deleted to create a main block with 1, 2, 3, or 4 modules."
E.G.
Supposing I wanted a banner at the top of the page, full width, with a background image in it. Then I want a logo off to the left, overlaying the banner. Then, top-right on the page I want the login/logout links.
Coding with HTML and CSS allows you to float DIVs to do this. But I can't see how to do it in TCCK.
Ta ta,
Colin

the citation you giv eis for the aligned modules, you can move them into the parent block that means they already exists here and you can arrange them in the row
then you can add some custom css in the specific tab in the css edition. You can also look at this video (near the end) to see how to add your own custom css stylesheet
