Dark Mode

How does the Dark-Mode option work? Can changes made while working in dark mode settings be published on the front end of the site?
I have read the documentation, everything works as described in the "Dark Mode", but can this work be saved and published?

I don't understand that point : you have to update your template like for any changes. This is part of your template and it will only be used when your OS uses the dark theme
