How do I implement collapsible columns

I am using the Template Creator CK component to build my templates for Joomla and have come across an awkward problem.

I have 3 columns on my page being "left", "content" and "right".
The columns width are as follows

left = 15%
content = 60%
right = 25%

If all 3 columns are populated with content then web page looks great.

However on most pages the left column is empty and in that case I want right column to still be 25% wide but the main content to now 75%.

Therefore how do I implement collapsible columns using Template-Creator?

(Note to Cedric: Appreciate you are holiday so don't worry if you can't get back to me until you return)

I am just revisiting this as I decided to build a new template (from blank) using layout 14 and I feel I need a better solution. I don't have a left column but do have modules in the right column but these appear below the main content rather than to the right of it.

Actually scrub the above question. It seems not only does my Chrome browser (on my desktop PC) have caching issues, the browser on my phone has developed the same problem.

It was only when I ran it through mobilemoxie.com/tools/mobile-page-test/ did I realise there is nothing wrong, well apart from having a crappy phone.
