I know I can do this with MaxiMenu, but I've never mastered it, and it's just one client wanting this. Is there a way I can just do an override to get this?

Sorry Ced - posted in the wrong place - this should have been in the Template Creator section. Re MM, I'm pretty sure I can add text to the hamburger (mobile) menu with it. Is there any way to add it after the fact to the regular hamburger made with TC?

ok
then you don't have to enable the hamburger icon in the template, just use maximenu and the plugin mobile
in the module options >> mobile >> you can choose the text to show
