Sounds good. Then I would be able to have a 100 percent type menu across the page.

So Instead of this:

I could have this 100 percent version across the screen.

If that is true then I would do that. I think it will make things easier for me in many ways.

ok, you want to have the first level at 100%, I did not understand that
then you can do that with CSS styling, with only one menu/module

Hi

Is this a good start??

I created a new master menu with all of the other menus in it. Four level 1's.

I'm asking you to look at this structure this so I don't go too far before I take the next step. (See screen capture, please!)

I want this new megmenu to look like the current one, but with 100 percent across (using css styling for the 100% part) and with the main maximenu module controlling the overall look and colors of the submenus.

This seems like a much more efficient way of do this group of menus. So I hope it works -- and I think it will!

Below is what I want the final result to look like:

Thanks!

UPDATE ----
Figured it out. The secret is NOT to make a column when I need the first level items to line up like Joomlacck's menu. It's all fixed now -- for the most part!

UPDATE ----

Hello

I am using the new menu on a different page so as not to confuse my client :)

Not sure why it is behaving like this.... Maybe I am brain dead by now..

All four "Megamenus" are now in ONE Maximenu Ck called Grande.

There are 4 root level menus with their own submenus

For example, "Performance", "World Music &...", "Academic Studies", and "Alternate.." are all at root level.

I made the one megamenu Stop the Dropdown to "2".

I made each of the four root items 25 percent columns.

Gave the module a unique ID. Using the same theme as the other menu on the main page.

So am not sure why it is looking like this. Very weird. For example the descriptions are showing as part of the link. I've done something very wrong and I am sure you will instantly know what I did wrong.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi
change the module ID (first option), remove the spaces like this
maximenu_NEW _GRANDE
instead of
maximenu NEW GRANDE

Ah! Getting rid of the spaces fixed that.

I made each level 1 menu item 20% columns. But except for the first one (performance) they are not moving up to the top of the menu like joomlack.fr.

In your youtube video on how to create a multicolumn you say that "Link 2" needs to be restricted in width. But my "Link 2" needs a full 100 percent width" because I am loading a custom module with text that needs to be 100 percent across the page. So I had to make my link 2's 100 percent.

I will keep double checking my settings and looking at the tutorial and docs, but if you have a quick answer that would help.

looking better!

Thanks!
