Only single column appears in Internet Explorer

Hi,

First let me say I love this module - and the comments and clarity of the code is fabulous!

But I do have a problem. When I set multiple columns in the dropdown from a horizontal menu it renders well in Firefox but in Internet Explorer 8 it only shows one column with the text centred. I have tried adding "display: inline-block; and *display: inline;" to div.maximenuCKH div.maximenuCK2 and the CSS is called OK but does not solve the problem. Trying to sort out IE problems is really pushing the limits of my abilities!

I am using Joomla 1.5.

Thanks in advance for any help you may give.
Regards,
Adam

Wow CEd, thanks for the quick reply!

I've been working on my home server, getting things looking right before it goes on the active site. I'll get the menu to a usable condition over the next couple of days and put it up as soon as I can , then post the URL on the forum.

Sorry it's not ready - I never anticipated a response so soon :-)

Many thanks,
Adam

Hi CEd,

I've found the cause of the problem.

It only happens when the Theme default2 is selected, default is fine. I see that maximenuH_CK.php for default2 uses % instead of px and, I assume, needs an explicitly dimensioned container. Changing line 193 "width : 100%; /* important for Chrome and Safari compatibility */ " to 180px sorts the problem, although I think I'll just switch Themes.

If I'd read your instructions I'd probably have known which template I should use :-)

Many thanks for your help - and sorry to waste your time!

Kind regards,
Adam
